On Friday 2nd March 2012. Winston Britton of Chingford London was convicted of 18 counts of child rape at Snaresbrook Crown Court. He was first reported in 1991 for the rape of 2 sisters aged 8 and 10 years old. The police never believed the victims and failed to take a statement from one of the sisters who was only 8 years old at the time.
The sisters were contacted by detectives in 2011 when Mr Britton who was an approved Foster parent was charged for offences of Rape against a fostered child in his care. Mr Britton was found guilty of the rape of the sisters and the fostered child.
Winston Britton will appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court for sentencing on March 30th 2012.
